In short: The Caged Muay Thai Shorts Classic is a traditional Muay Thai short made from 100% polyester with an elastic waistband and splits on both sides, designed for serious training and competition. This Dutch premium short offers the freedom of movement and fit that experienced Muay Thai and kickboxing fighters expect.
This short is designed for fighters who train regularly or compete in Muay Thai, kickboxing or K-1. The classic cut with high splits and lightweight polyester fabric gives you the leg movement needed for high kicks and knee strikes. If you're just starting out in combat sports or mainly do fitness boxing, a regular sports short may be more comfortable. The material is smooth polyester: some athletes like this because it doesn't stick, others prefer a softer feel.
Difference from standard sports shorts
A Muay Thai short like this Caged Classic has much shorter legs and higher side splits than a regular sports short or MMA short. This provides unlimited freedom of movement for high kicks and clinch work, but may feel unfamiliar at first. The elastic waistband sits snugly around your waist and the short sits looser around the legs. Standard sports shorts are longer and fit tighter around the thighs, which restricts Muay Thai techniques but provides more coverage. For authentic Thai techniques, the classic short is the better choice.

Yes, these Caged shorts are suitable for all standing combat sports: Muay Thai, kickboxing, K-1 and Thai boxing. The high splits and short legs are ideal for high kicks and knee strikes. For MMA or grappling they are less suitable because the smooth polyester fabric provides little grip on the ground.
How should I care for these Muay Thai shorts?
Wash these shorts by hand only in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not machine wash, do not tumble dry and do not iron. The 100% polyester fabric dries quickly in the air. Hand washing keeps the elastic waistband and logo looking good longer and prevents damage to the fabric.
What is the difference between this Classic and more expensive Muay Thai shorts?
The Caged Classic offers the essential features of a good Muay Thai short: polyester fabric, side splits and elastic waistband. More expensive models often have satin fabric, embroidered details or extra-wide waistbands. For training and competition the Classic is completely adequate; the more expensive variants are mainly a matter of preference and appearance.

Can I choose the carrier myself?
In the Netherlands and Belgium, you choose between PostNL and GLS at checkout. In Belgium you can also have delivery to a PostNL pickup point. To other European countries we ship with GLS, to the United Kingdom and countries outside Europe mostly with FedEx.

What if my package is delayed?
Check the track & trace first; sometimes a shipment is delivered later in the day or the next working day. If the status stays stuck, email us with your order number. We'll contact the carrier immediately.
I entered a wrong address, what now?
Email us as soon as possible with your order number and the correct address. As long as the order hasn't shipped, we'll correct it. If the shipment is already on its way, we'll try to have the carrier adjust it.
