Use

The Hayabusa Knuckle Guards are ideal for boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA. They are worn directly on the hand, before you wrap your hand wraps and put on your gloves. This extra protective layer is particularly valuable for:

Material and construction

The padding consists of 7.5 mm high-quality EVA foam, supplemented with a 1 mm thick gel layer for optimal impact absorption. This hybrid composition combines the stability of foam with the progressive shock dampening of gel — a construction you'll find in top-quality boxing gloves. The exterior is made from an ultra-soft elastic knit fabric that fits snugly around the hand without pinching, so the protection stays exactly on the knuckles where it belongs.

How to use

The knuckle guards are slipped directly onto the bare hand, similar to a fingerless glove. Then you wrap your hand wraps over them to keep everything in place, and finally put on your boxing gloves. The combination of knuckle guards + hand wraps + gloves provides a threefold protective layer around your knuckles and hand bones — the most complete protection you can build during training.

Size guide

The knuckle guards are available in two size variants:

• Small / Medium – suitable for hand circumference approximately 17 – 21 cm
• Large / X-Large – suitable for hand circumference approximately 21 – 25 cm

Measure your hand circumference around the knuckles (without thumb) to determine the correct size. Unsure between two sizes? Choose the larger variant for extra comfort and space around the gel padding.

For whom?

These knuckle guards are suitable for beginners, intermediate and experienced fighters. Beginners benefit from the extra protection while they are still learning how to punch correctly, while experienced fighters use them to spare their knuckles during high-volume training. Also ideal for fighters who regularly suffer from raw or sensitive knuckles, or who are recovering from previous hand injuries.

Difference with hand wraps and gel-padded gloves

Knuckle guards are a supplement to — not a replacement for — hand wraps. Hand wraps stabilise your wrists and the structure of your hand, while knuckle guards provide targeted extra impact absorption on the most stressed areas. For fighters who train intensively or have sensitive knuckles, they form the missing link between skin and glove that makes the difference between sore hands and worry-free training.

Care

The knuckle guards are machine washable on cold, preferably in a wash bag to protect the elastic fabric and gel layer. They can also go in the dryer. Wash them regularly to prevent odour and bacterial growth — particularly important because they are worn directly on the skin.

All products are immediately available

Orders that are immediately available and placed before 5:00 PM will be shipped the same day (Monday to Friday) from our warehouse and picked up by PostNL or DHL. You will receive a track & trace code the same day to follow your package. PostNL or DHL delivers the order the next day to the location of your choice in the Netherlands and Belgium. 

If you place an order for which all products are immediately available on Friday after 5:00 PM, Saturday or Sunday, we will ship it on Monday. In this case you will receive your order on Tuesday.

One or more products have a delivery time

In addition to our stock that is immediately available, we also have external stock. These products have a delivery time of 1 to 10 working days. This delivery time is indicated for each product in the availability. If you place an order with multiple products of which one or more products has a longer delivery time, this delivery time applies to the entire order. 

Punching bags & puzzle mats

Punching bags, puzzle mats and packages with different dimensions or weight are sent with an external courier service. This courier service works just like DHL with a tracking code to track your order. The delivery time for this is 1 to 2 working days.

Different delivery times apply for orders outside the Netherlands and Belgium. Via the track & trace code you will find current information regarding the delivery time of your package.
